"Ok, so there was an issue with the room when arrived but after speaking with the hotel manager this was very quickly resolved whilst we enjoyed a complimentary drink and took ourselves on a quick tour of the stunning Rudloe Arms and grounds. The main building and its decor is fantastic and worth a trip just to see it. Later that evening, we had a dinner reservation where we were greeted warmly by a really attentive restaurant crew. "We loved our stay! The farmhouse was so quaint and vintage and was just what we were looking for. The staff/owner was lovely, pleasant and accommodating. The classic English breakfast was delicious, especially with the recently made homemade jam. Our only issue was gps routing us in a wrong direction and not realizing the entrance was through the gate that was closed. The online map said it was .9 of a mile from the city center of Castle Combe, which is true if you walk it. That turned out...

"We stayed at Whitley Coach House to spend a few days in the area before attending a wedding in Frome. Tim and Ginny’s communication was excellent, and they were even kind enough to provide a travel cot last minute as we had ordered one ourselves that we didn’t think would come in time (although it did in the end). The coach house itself was spacious enough for the three of us, with everything one might need for a few days away. "
