"Friendly staff, but the hotel did not feel like a four star. More like 3.5. The breakfast on the roof with a view is great though. Bathroom is tight with a vary narrow tub. How does anyone take a shower? But I guess it's standard to have narrow tubes in France. Floors were not carpeted, likely for easier cleaning of beach goers. Location is nice and quiet, 15 minute walk to the main part of Nice. "

"Excellent location close to city centre , restaurants, bars, transport links and a short walk to the promenade and sea front. The hotel was great value for money. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The staff were excellent, always very helpful. We have just returned from a very enjoyable break there and are booked up to go again in the near future. This is a hotel we are happy to go back to . "

"The check-in was extremely slow with the male receptionist. I was kept waiting for a long time. The female receptionist was very nice and helpful. They seem very strict about the check-in time too whereas other hotels have some flexibility if the room is ready. The room on the top floor had great views. "

"This was my second stay at the Mercure. It is convenient for shopping, dining and transportation. The staff are friendly and helpful. Next time I visit Nice, I will be booking a room at this lovely hotel."

"This was a good base for a 3-night stay in Nice. The location was the best part of this hotel. I can imagine the rooftop pool being a very nice add on in the summer months. The room was a bit too warm even though the "air conditioning" had been set at the lowest temperature and the highest fan level. The bed and pillows weren't that comfortable so we didn't sleep very well."

"Stayed here recently and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The only positive is the location, which is convenient and well situated. Beyond that, the hotel falls far below expectations. The rooms are extremely outdated — it feels like nothing has been renovated since the late 90s or early 2000s — and, more importantly, they are poorly maintained. Our bathroom had missing tiles, and the faucet was literally falling apart. The overall condition gives the impression that upkeep is not a priority. The flooring is old carpet, which naturally feels unclean and worn. This really affects the overall comfort of the room. Another major issue was parking. The hotel advertises private parking, but we were not given access to it, which was frustrating and misleading. Considering the high price of the rooms, the value is simply not there. Honestly, even if it were free, I would not choose to stay here again. Would not recommend."
