"The Best Hotel Residence Italia is a great option if you're planning on visiting Cagliari and Quartu Sant Elena, or even for a stop over before moving on to other places in sout east Sardinia. It's super close to the Poetto beach, you can either walk there (15 minutes) and see the beatiful flamingos in the lagoon or take a bus (bus stop across the street) and get there in less than 3 minutes. "The hotel is well located if you want to get to the airport. There is a gas station next door and restaurants within walking distance. But it is not a place where you would want to spend time. The room was dated and the carpet was very stained. It was fine for one night. "

"We enjoyed this hotel in the centre of Cagliari. It is particularly suited if you are arriving in the port from Sicily on a crossing that berths in the evening, being only a few hundred yard from the port. Our junior suite was lovely, and the staff super helpful. Parking can be arranged in the large spacious car park by the station, which is only three minutes walk from the Hotel. If you get the chance, book to eat at Sa Domu Sarda next door. Absolutely excellent."
