"I do have an issue with their marketing a "City View". I spent a little extra money for the alleged City View room. Little did I know that City View means a view of the City of Brooklyn. Really? Do people want to pay extra for that? I looked out my room window and could only see the public housing brick buildings in Manhattan. I don't think people think of that as a Cty View. I think calling it that is misleading, bordering on deceptive. When brought to their attention they simply said the only rooms with NYC Skyline views were balcony rooms, which were sold out. Quite pricey also,
Besides that, this was my first time here. We do have a favorite spot near-by that we usually stay at when we visit our daughter in Brooklyn. But we decided to give this hotel a try. This is a fine place to stay. Clean and in a good location. The clientele leans toward the younger crowd. There is a club on the rooftop bar that draws a good sized crowd but they were not disruptive and caused no issues of concern. They weren't loud and rowdy. The restaurant is pretty good as well. Service was fine. Nothing exceptional. I would recommend this as a decent place to stay, just don't pay extra for their idea of a"City View". Next visit I'll more than likely stayy across the street as well."
"Breakfast was bland, no variety. Microwave didn’t work, had to change rooms three times due to strong cleaning solution odor that made us ill, what looked like blood stains on the back of the drapes, nightstand drawer wouldn’t close, vending machine took only change but front desk didn’t have any quarters, and still waiting for refund for a room I canceled within an hour of booking. Will not stay there again."
