"We had a bit of a rude welcome but this was rectified the following day at breakfast.
A well placed property with a good breakfast.
The bathroom was a little tired and the beds were comfortable."

"Great location - walking distance to town centre for shops and restaurants and cafes - short drive to beach. Had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant - very good
Accommodation was very comfortable and hosts very friendly.
Breakfast was put out for us to help ourselves in the pottery shop each morning and was a good start to the day with fresh fruit and croissants.
Reliable WiFi we were able to watch Wimbledon with no problems.
All in all a delightful stay and would definitely stay again."

"We have just returned from our first visit to The Crown Hotel in Lyndhurst & we enjoyed our 2 nights immensely! We were in a room overlooking the garden which was quiet & I'm sure a beautiful view when the grass is green!
Our room was spacious & the bed was comfortable & a fan was provided.
The breakfast was fantastic with so much choice & friendly helpful staff.
Lyndhurst is a charming town surrounded by the wonderful New Forest. We hope to return again!"
"This was my 2nd stay here . Xmas & summer . Great location. Helpful friendly warm staff Air conditioning was just about ok in the room, but not outstanding . I wanted to eat by the sea view window and it was way too hot .
I have 2 little dogs, only permitted to take dogs to the garden area fenced away out of sight of the pool. It would be nice if there was an allocated space by the pool that is dog friendly . So being a line traveller , I missed out ."
"We had a lovely 2 night stay in a Deluxe Room which thankfully had air conditioning and had been renovated to a high standard. Even though there were swimming lessons in the covered pool, there was enough room for my grandson and daughter to have fun. The food, both breakfast and dinner was very good and I must compliment James in the restaurant/bar for his excellent service and professionalism. He is an asset to the Hotel. Will definitely return next year."

"Such a memorable stay for my husband’s 70th Birthday. Our family were all made to feel so welcome and the meal for twelve was perfectly presented.
I want to recognise particularly Izzy and Emma for their service as it went above and beyond."
"A very nice but old building. No disabled parking but told to use the dropping off section out the front so that was ok. Room was nice but quite small to manoeuvre round the bed if you were sleeping on the left side. No air conditioning which was disappointing in these temps. Did have a fan so that went on and stayed on til we left the next day. Surprised the bar shut by 11 nowhere to get a nice cold drink. The restaurant was fully booked because there was an 80th party going in which we weren’t pre warned about. Luckily hubby hadn’t had a drink so we went out into Lymington to find somewhere to eat. Indoor & outdoors pools were ok just needed a little tlc really. Breakfast was very nice cannot fault that at all. Sausages and bacon very tasty as was all the hot choice."
"A beautiful room with extremely comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom too. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We didn’t eat at the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. It would be a pleasure to stay again."
"Stayed here one night before a cruise out of Southampton. A wonderful big hotel with Starbucks on site and a large pool and hot tub along with steam rooms, ice plunge and sauna. I only use the pool in the hot tub, but there were lots of people using the rest of the amenities. Room was small but very comfortable. Bathroom has a glass door, which was fine for me because I had my own room. I don’t think I would be as comfortable if I were sharing with friends . There would be no privacy unless the other person left the room. Other friends, I was traveling with suggested bringing a cheap shower curtain to throw over the door and that would solve all the issues a . My only real issue was that the restaurant was out of things that I wanted to order for dinner. In the end, the food was not that great.
Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with this hotel. I would definitely stay here again, but I would have food delivered."
