We loved our stay here: it’s in beautiful surroundings; we had a large, very comfortable room and a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. We will find an excuse to return here! Thank you very much for a truly lovely stay.

The service was excellent, welcoming and helpful staff.The food was well presented, piping hot and delicious with plenty of choice and generous portions. The rooms were large, furnished to a high standard and very clean. We highly recommend The Down Inn.

Comfortable but disappointing food.

The hotel was OK for an overnight stay. Reasonably comfortable and clean. The carvery was rather overcooked and slightly shrivelled. Breakfast was OK but the sausages were undercooked and the coffee was undrinkable.

The room was spacious , clean and well presented , and food was lovely in morning and evening s too , the only slight complaint was the hot water seemed to run out on one occasion after we all had showers , which was a bit frustrating , but am sure that can be rectified , other than that it was lovely !

Stayed for a friend's borthday party.Had a carbery which was very good.Evening meal quite tasteless.Breakfast fine.Bedroom and bathroom were nice and clean.Bedroom'bathroom and corridor floors were creaking terribly and noise from the ground floor could be heard until quite late.Would stay there again if i was in the area.

Lovely big room with all the facilities needed for your stay. Feather pillows and duvet were nice and the room was nice and warm which you were able to control.

Stayed at the Down Inn while visiting the area

Stayed at the Down Inn while visiting the Bridgnorth area. Overall very happy with our stay. The room was large and in good condition. Breakfast was brilliant. Enjoyed a couple of evening meals also. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Down Inn will definitely be on the list if we visit the area again.

Cannot fault the property in any way. We attended a wedding locally so did not take advantage of the restaurant which I’m sure would have been excellent. Only VERY small critic is the bedroom pillows. Could be a little firmer but that is being very picky.
