"Really nice stop on the way to Scotland, Best sleep in days!"

"My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. "Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room."

"The bedroom was excellent,clean well furnished and appointed. The only small criticism was that there was a lack of comfortable space away from the restaurant space and bar but as we were only staying one night this didn’t matter too much. The breakfast was excellent and the bar food,whereas it was well prepared, was a little limited in choice. We would however stay again."

"Loved our stay at the Troutbeck inn! Staff seemed hardworking and very busy but remained friendly and approachable at all times. Our stay was very quiet and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was great and, though I'm never normally a full English person at breakfast, I had one of theirs as my partner's breakfast looked cracking on the first morning (and mine didn't disappoint!)
