Great help from Ionut when we checked in so kudos to him. Literally next door to the train station although really up the hill from the city and the lake. Great breakfast buffet (not included with the room, still worth it). The mattress on one side of the bed tilted downward. One the tables had poke or punch marks on it and the cleaning staff did not change one of the sheets that had stains on it. We also saw trash on a table in a common area that did not get picked the three days we stayed there.

Basic but clean and quiet place. Surprisingly fantastic restaurant options within a 5 min walk. Good place to stay if you have business / family / acquaintances very nearby. Not a great place if you want to explore Lausanne (kind of far from the downtown area).

"This is a new hotel and it shows. They have wonderful friendly staff at all levels. Good size comfortable rooms, secure parking. The only downside if you stay for more than a few nights and eat in the restaurant is that the menu is a bit limited, especially if a non-meat eater but the food is good. ..."
