"I recently stayed at this hotel in Nice, France, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing compared to what I expected from a 4-star property. Pros: The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to Place Massena, with a Monoprix store conveniently located across the street. Cons: I had previously stayed at this hotel in October 2024, and the difference now is like night and day. Upon arrival, we were checked into a dirty room. All shelves and tables were dusty, and the floor and carpet rack were visibly unclean. The fridge barely worked—it was only good enough to keep chocolate from melting. Because of this, guests were storing their food in a shared fridge in the hallway. We stayed for 9 nights, and the bedding was only changed once—on the night before our departure, which is completely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. The carpet in my room was never vacuumed during our stay. It was so dirty that I didn’t feel comfortable walking on it barefoot. The housekeeping service was also very poor. We would leave towels on the floor in the morning as instructed, but when returning around 6 p.m. to shower and get ready for dinner, the towels were still there. I had to go to reception myself and exchange dirty towels for clean ones. The hotel advertises free coffee and tea in the hallway, which is technically true—the machine and tea bags are there—but there are no cups available to actually use them. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing"

There’s a calm, unforced elegance to everything, from the soft linens to the way the light hits the terraces in the late afternoon. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, blending Provençal charm with modern comfort, and the bed alone is worth writing home about. Service was warm and intuitive without being overbearing. Staff seemed to anticipate needs before I even realized them, which made the entire stay feel effortless. The pool area and spa were highlights—perfect for unwinding after a day exploring nearby Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Dining on-site was equally memorable, with fresh, flavorful dishes that reflected the region beautifully. It’s the kind of place where time slows down in the best way possible. I left feeling genuinely restored—and already planning a return."

"My room was quite small and very hot when I checked in, no air conditioning si I had to keep drapes drawn. My travelling companion had problems with water in bathroom on two days of the four we spent there. Breakfast was fine except no freshly squeezed juice and instant decaffeinated coffee. Staff all very pleasant and helpful to us, thank you."

"The property was a beautiful quiet oasis in the city. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. Our bags had been delivered to our room when we arrived. The staff was especially pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel. "
