"The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to everything downtown Solvang had to offer. The hotel could use an update, the self parking was limited, and our room was close to Mission Dr (Hwy 246) so it was quite noisy all night, but the hotel and room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the pool and jacuzzi was nice."

"The room smelled very musty and the toilet didn’t work properly. It flushed but the paper stayed and didn’t go out. The breakfast was good but the overall stay in Solvang was a waste of time since stores close by 4:30 and the majority aren’t even open Monday and Tuesday "

"We had a wondefull stay at Hotel Hygge. The room was clean and well-kept. Whole facility is nice and looks alluring. Small problems with check in were quickly resolved by nice, helpfull staff via telephone. Parking is just next to rooms. Great hotel!"

"Wouldn’t stay again"

"The property was old but updated. Everything worked ( especially pleased with the jacuzzi!). The only issue was that the light over the bed was not accessible to a night stand. The light was on one side the nightstand in the middle of the two beds. Awkward. I just moved a chair to that side. The rest of the room was very accommodating."

"The room was a decent size and clean. Staff was helpful when asked if we could extend the stay to an extra night. It was quiet and conveniently close to the highway."

"They have a beautiful swimming pool but it’s closed. Couldn’t get a straight answer why it was off limits. It was obviously maintained very well. Beautiful gardens."
