!["Alvøen is the site one of Norway’s oldest industrial communities and one of the best preserved industrial locations. In 1626, King Christian IV of Denmarkgranted the right to establish a gunpowder mill on the site. The mill was destroyed by fire in 1733, but rebuilt. Alvøen Manor and the factory were opened as a museum (Alvøen Hovedbygning) in 1983, as a branch of the West Norway Museum of Decorative Art. It is now[when?] managed by the Bergen City Museum. Room was small, but well appointed. Room was clean and ready for us when we arrived (early)! The breakfast was fabulous, especially liked the ginger lemon aperitif!! The location was perfect!!

Scandic Torget Bergen
Our room asigned to us was a handicap room so it was a little bit bigger. Room very clean, breakfast had lots of options, hotel was ajacent to the harbour tourist district and and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
