Wow what a beautiful hotel! Rio Perdido offers quiet luxury in a very natural environment. The staff were fantastic- nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and kind. This is the real deal! Historic property with great food, great rooms. Had a suite, very nice. We were welcomed by howler monkeys, deer and agouti (which is pleural for agouti). Nice clean pool. 4 star luxury. Stayed on our way to the airport, easy commute 45 minutes.

The houses and property were amazing! The staff was very helpful guiding my wife and I when the main road was closed for construction. As a photographer, the scenery from the balcony area was absolutely stunning! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

No one there. It was run down. I believe it was closed up. No signage! The place should be taken off the Expedia website immediately.

Location is about 20–25 minutes from downtown. The space is cozy and suitable for a family of four, and the balcony is very nice. However, there was an ongoing odor in the room, and the bathroom had a strong smell, which affected our overall comfort.
