"This property has so much potential being a beautiful, old and characterful inn. I arrived early but the owner was very accommodating, allowing me to check in. My room (a single room) was clean apart from spiders webs and spiders near the ceiling which I removed as I wouldn't have been able to sleep. The room was very basic which is fine, but it would benefit from a picture or two to brighten it up. Night-time was the main issue. The mattress could do with replacing as it dips in the middle of...

"Shower was great (if small) and the homemade shortbread was a nice little touch my son enjoyed as part of his breakfast. The breakfasts were also really good. They were very flexible on items on the full English and the ingredients were good quality with proper sausages, thick bacon and thick slices of good bread. The two women working there were great and the service was excellent though. They told another guest they only took it on last year and are doing it up but they need to either do it...
