"Stayed 2 nights and we liked it. The room is very clean, bed is comfortable except the quilt is a little thicker thus a little too warm for sleep. We tried to adjust the thermostat but it didn’t seem to work. Breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and professional. Location is very central too. We highly recommend this hotel."

"Had a lovely few days at the Dom Jose as a solo female visitor. I felt very comfortable sitting in the lounge in the evenings, particularly when there was live music. The breakfasts were great and the bar snacks were great value. I didn't have dinner. I have two small criticisms regarding the room 1 Do people really need that enormous tv? A mirror over the dressing table would be more useful. Also a second chair is needed if there are two in the room. 2 Why is it so difficult to find out the...

"Great stay. A studio was all that was available when we registered but, due to a cancellation, upon arrival we were upgraded to a much larger unit. Much appreciated! Very clean with full kitchen and a range of appliances for cooking or just reheating. All staff were extremely cordial and helpful. The breakfast is complete with all you could want to choose from. Beautiful, working farm grounds surround. Quinta da Capelinha will be our go to whenever we stay in Tavira. "
