"So our initial room disappointingly smelled like cigarette smoke in the bathroom, the smell was very strong. We went down to front desk and the gentleman upgraded our room to one with a king size bed, fireplace, and jacuzzi tub and also a mountain view. It was very nice to be treated so well as it was our weekend away without kids so this made our weekend even more special. All the staff are so kind and made us feel very welcome. "The room was spacious and clean! We also had a beautiful mountain view, it was amazing to wake up to it in the morning. The lamphouse is right in the heart of Canmore, close to restaurants, shopping boutiques, and more. The staff were very accommodating as well. We asked if we could leave our car after the 11 a.m. checkout, and they kindly allowed us to park until 4 p.m. Overall, a great stay!"

"Was a pleasant stay, rooms were clean and comfortable size for our family. Staff were very friendly, and the property was cleared of snow and ice making it easy for walking. The lack of dinner service until the 23rd of december as referenced on the website forced us seek food elsewhere, which was a bummer, but allowed us to check out other places. "The Banff Ptarmigan Inn was very nice, it was a perfect location, close to downtown and walking distance to many restaurants and to shopping. The shuttle to the ski hills was just outside the door, which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly. The cleanliness of the room was ok, except for the rug, it was not vacuumed well, you could see dust and debris along the edges of the floor by the window, and we found a sock just under the end of the bed that we know didn’t belong to us,...
