It's not the most luxurious nor the best amenities, but one word to sum it up: timeless. The onsen facility is old but well maintained, however it is somehow the most memorable. "The front desk staff and all the supporting staff including the dining room were fantastic We thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen. The breakfast and dinner were phenomenal and classic Japanese. The Japanese style rooms are fairly sparse and simple. Overall, a wonderful experience. The source of first trip to Japan and our first time staying in Ryokan Onsen but surely won’t be our last. Thanks to Mr. Suzuki and staff for a very memorable experience."

"Ryumontei hotel is a beautiful gem! The room was spacious and clean. The entire ryokan was designed around the gorgeous and huge Japanese garden which made every moment at the ryokan a picturesque moment. A must visit during autumn! The hotel was conveniently located within short distance to nearby tourist attractions such as oriase stream, lake towada and mount hakkoda. Oh and the dinner at the ryokan was out of this world! Sadhimi, crab, beef, fish, abalone... everything was presented...
