"Everything was perfect, spa facilities were lovely and relaxing and spotlessly clean. As was our apartment, the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Food was excelent both in the evening and breakfast. We think it must be a wonderful place to work as all the staff from reception to cleaners were all very happy, chatty and helpful. "The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. "Lovely old hotel full of character very close to the Hoe and within walking distance to the Barbican. Dogs welcome throughout the hotel although you have to take breakfast in the bar if accompanied by your dog. My dog was made very welcome and even had his own sausage for breakfast. Have stayed here before and plan to do so in the future. Thank you to the very friendly staff. "
