Good location good view with balcony friendly staff noisy street
A lovely little hotel in the middle of Amsterdam.
Easy walking distance to restaurants, a supermarket, coffeeshops and the red light district.
We had a balcony room, which allowed for people watching when we weren't exploring Amsterdam.
Great location
Staff really pleasant and helpful
Lots of stairs but not an issue
Great value for money

If you enjoy the bedsit experience - you will enjoy your stay here. Location is 10/10 but the rooms are very very basic.
We were concerned about bedbugs following a previous review - but this was not an issue,
Staff were very professional and courteous.

Close to the 9th shopping street. Hotel room were not too clean and the bathroom ceiling was leaking however if you want something at an affordable price and close to the town center then it’s worth staying. The staff is very friendly and helpful:)
Be prepared for very steep and narrow 40 stairs to the front desk. Also narrow steep stairs to each floor above that. Plugs were all worn out in our room except the 1. Good location for seeing the sites and shopping
We had a nice stay, very centric, nice view of the city from the balcony. You get what you pay for. So we were happy with an affordable stay in Amsterdam and used the money we saved for attractions there.
I was very pleased with my room. It was a simple room but very clean and it was a very very nice location overlooking the Main Street via the balcony. I enjoyed sitting out and watching the city life go by. The only thing that some people may have to be aware of is that as expected in Amsterdam there are relatively steep stairs going into the hotel although I was told that an elevator will be added by next year. Overall I was very pleased with my stay.

Location, location, location as well as great helpful staff!
The staircase is original, which gives a real heritage vibe. However, there is no lift for luggage or anyone with accessibility issues. The staircase was as steep as a ladder and we had to get our suitcases up and down. The rooms were run down, but safe. The location is quite central.
Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly.
The bed was very hard. There were no mirrors in the room. Coffee machine didn’t work.
Excellent location
Overall a great place to stay
I love this hotel, firstly it is ideally located a few minutes from dam square and a short walk from the train station, ideally located for a number of local attractions. Great balconies available on request with beautiful views of the canals. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The usual “Amsterdam stairs” on entry but all in all this is my go to place to stay in the city, I believe balcony rooms are available on request. This is a non smoking hotel. Five star review all day long, Always a positive experience.
you’re paying for what you get! it was a clean place to stay and a bed to sleep in in a great location for an affordable price. The stairs are steep , and the bathroom does make a noise but overall we had a very nice experience and would stay again.

Really pleasant staff waiting when we arrived, answered our questions and made us feel really welcome.
The balcony area was lovely to sit and enjoy the views, was nice to wait here before we checked in.
The room was clean and were left a good amount of towels, bedding was clean too.
The room was abit run down, some areas of paint missing but this didn’t bother us!
We would definitely stay again!
The Hotel Di-Ann is very well located just a couple of blocks west of Dam Square, and very near the West Church and Ann Frank Museum. It is 15-20 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station.
My room was basic though comfortable, with a bathroom and shower, wifi, and had a partial view of one of the canals.
The stairs up are steep (typical of older buildings in Amsterdam) and rise two floors up. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, there is a TV lounge and a nice balcony outside to sit on.
I was very happy with this hotel, though may be challenging if you have large heavy suitcases to carry up the stairs.
Great location and Hotel was good given the price, staff were super friendly and helpful
Balcony was a great addition to the room

when i saw there was no elevator i was like ya that’s chill its ok, but bro with a big suitcase walking to my room with it on the fourth floor is not for the weak. the steps are steep and tiny! the room itself was very humid, little balcony was nice. pillows are basically nothing. the bathroom wasn’t stocked/refilled properly when i arrived, empty kleenex, etc. the shower water was just there on the floor and didn’t have like anything you stepped into. as for location i couldn’t have asked for anything better it was perfect. amsterdam is very walkable and this was central. only annoyance was from 10pm-midnight you could hear car engines revving and lots of street chatter.
We were given the wrong room, terrible room without a reason and there was no manager during the night, then were given a room with bed bugs filling the room and beds.
They moved us to a good room
