"Clean room and staff were really friendly. It’s an older hotel, like most in the area, but when you’re road weary, you can’t ask for more than a clean, safe room with friendly staff. Would stay again!"

"• Website photos appear heavily edited and do not match the actual room condition. • Room smelled strongly of stale bedding and cigarette smoke. • Bed was old, warped, and damaged with trim falling off and exposed wood. • Only one usable side of the bed had accessible outlets for charging devices. • Bed came with one normal pillow and one tiny square pillow instead of two regular pillows. • Refrigerator was unplugged at check-in and housekeeping later unplugged it again, leaving food warm. • Coffee maker had no coffee, filters, or supplies included. • Towels and washcloths were yellow stained and had hairs in them. • Toilet constantly ran, handle stuck after flushing, and toilet seat was loose and would not stay up. • Toilet paper was extremely cheap quality. • Shower had almost no water pressure and water temperature changed randomly, nearly burning my wife. • Bathroom door barely shut and was difficult to open once closed. • Bathtub looked patched together with filler and caulking, flexed when standing on it, and felt unsafe. • TV remote had no batteries and was not even for the correct TV. • Front desk promised a replacement remote that never arrived during our 3-night stay. • HDMI/cable connection behind TV appeared damaged or burned. • Smoke detector had no batteries installed. • Bathroom light fixture was loosely mounted and only one bulb worked. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained, dirty, and in some cases unsafe. . Lastly, the pool was green and full off algae!! "

"We recently stayed at a Best Western in Decatur, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. From the moment we checked in at 10 PM, the front desk clerk made us feel like we were an inconvenience. She had a sarcastic, dismissive attitude instead of being welcoming. The room itself was in decent shape, but when we took a shower, the tub would not drain properly. We reported it to the front desk and were told that “all the tubs are designed that way,” which didn’t make much sense. The biggest issue was breakfast. The hotel advertises breakfast from 6–10 AM, but when we went down at 8 AM, nothing was available—not even coffee. The manager on duty said everything was down. While things happen and we understand that, we were told it would be resolved the next day. The following morning, the same issue occurred. At 6 AM, nothing was ready, and by 6:45 we were told there would be no breakfast again. The only option offered was coffee they had purchased from Circle K across the street. To top it off, when we checked out, there was no one at the front desk for over 30 minutes, so we ended up leaving our key cards on the counter and leaving. Overall, between the poor service, lack of basic amenities, and unfulfilled promises, this stay fell well below expectations."

"THE LISTING FOR THE KING DELUXE ROOM.. ISN'T REAL. I BOOKED THAT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THOSE.. SO I HAD A DOUBLE BED ROOM. THE FRIDGE WAS FULL OF FOOD.. NONE OF IT WAS MINE..YUCK. THERE WAS BIG HAIR IN THE BATHTUB. ALSO THE LISTINGS STATES THE POOL IS HEATED.. IT IS NOT! COMPLETE LET DOWN FOR MY WEEKEND GETAWAY!"

"Room, shower, mattress, bedding was great! Pillows were comfy! The only thing that was a concern was the toilet bowl not filling up with water and ability to properly flush. We filled the toilet bowl With water and it seemed to help. I think there was something sticking in the bowl that kept It from filling up properly. Location and staff were wonderful!"

"Breakfast was horrible. Not worth it at all. Stayed here two years ago for track regional and breakfast is still as same ole cheap products. Needs an upgrade. I booked through Hotels.com and was charged on my debit card and my wifes debit card. Still tied up in the refund process trying to get my funds back. Just know when i come back for the regional track meet next year. I will not be staying here. Ever again. Two years ago, i enjoyed my stay here. This time was horrible. Never again. Didn't get room cleaned each day. Had sticky stuff on the floor when we che ked in and had to wait for the next morning to get it cleaned. Staff was not good at all. Did not have any hospitality. "

"Not the fanciest but was clean. Front desk was helpful. Outside was well kept and lit. Stayed with dogs and felt safe walking them for potty breaks even at night. I would stay again."

"The bed was dirty when we checked in. Asked the front desk for another room and was refused. Then we were yelled at and asked to leave the property and not come back. The front desk did not give us a full refund. "
