"We originally booked a studio, but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two-bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and well maintained. The interior is a little dated in places, but everything was clean and tidy, so this didn’t bother us at all. The beds and bedding were excellent, and the bathroom was great with a good shower. "The hotel grounds were good, breakfast was plentiful even though repetitive day by day. They had nightly entertainment, some good, some not. The on site Flor de Sal was very good, the service there was excellent. My biggest complaint was the unfriendliness of the reception and staff everywhere. No one smiles or greets you when you walk by. I felt there was a general unfriendly vibe from the staff everywhere. They don't seem happy or pretend to be happy for the clients!! My room was fine, pillows were lumpy, I asked for new ones, and they were not any better. The bathroom was the worst: my shower had mold, All it needed was some bleach and cleaning. The washroom faucet was scratched, shower door didn't close. More than once, I told the reception about it, nothing was done. They did offer a new room but it was a huge hassle to move so we declined. The pools were ok, the adult pool was often dirty, we didn't use the outdoor pools much. The gym is nice and well equipped. Overall, it is a good hotel but the staff needs to trained to be nicer and friendlier with smiles! I don't think I would choose this hotel again. We stayed in Lisbon at a PortoBay and the vibe there was better, and hence chose this one,"

"Apartment 848, clean and spacious. What was a really nice touch arriving after 10pm was fresh bread, butter, jam and milk. Thank you! Wifi in apartment n restaurants. Close to the Tennis club but we choose to use our breakfast voucher in the Doce cafe which was a 1k walk, which was lovely but u can use the resort shuttle taxi. The 3 staff in Doce were brilliant each morning, Fantastic cocktails in beach club too, it was quiet in October but great music by DJ pool water is cool but refreshing! We enjoyed watching the tennis & Paddle and would definitely book if we were back. The beach is flawless and lovely to watch the golfers. Really nice wide spread resort, the hire car was handy when we decided to eat off site."

"Pine Cliffs Gardens is a beautiful property. The grounds, gardens, beach and accommodations are lovely, and the resort itself has so much potential. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was deplorable. The food was consistently poor, the service was unacceptable, and the prices were outrageous for the quality provided. We are happy to pay premium prices when the food and service justify it, but that simply wasn’t the case here. For a resort positioning itself at this level, the restaurants should be one of the highlights, not the biggest disappointment. The difference between the quality of the property and the quality of the dining experience is shocking. Beautiful resort, but the food, service and extremely high restaurant prices significantly impacted our stay. Until the dining experience improves, I could not rate Pine Cliffs Gardens more than 3 out of 5."
