The hotel and grounds are superb. However the swimming pools are prohibitively cold, most guests fold they could not swim. Housekeeping did an excellent job, especially Rosie. The gym is great and the spa area was kept clean.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The facilities were immaculate, the pool area was gorgeous, breakfast was lovely and the photos definitely don’t do the wellness centre enough justice. The gym was amazing as well as the indoor pool area and the spin studio. Would definitely return, every member of staff was so lovely and we had a very luxurious holiday!

Wonderful hotel with stunning views. Just a few-minute walk to the beach, cliffs, restaurants and kayak tours. Service was exceptional, with staff being very helpful and polite. We very much enjoyed staying around the pool, which was very clean and with plenty of fresh towels available. My favourite part of the day was breakfast, with lots of options for everyone and freshly squeezed juice options and coffee prepared to order. There was even a chef who prepared omelettes, poached eggs and other 'specialities of the day' as requested. All products, such as bread, cheese, fruit and veg were tasty and good quality. There are plenty of decent, good restaurants within walking distance. I especially recommend Il Borgo (Italian) and Margem Sul (Portuguese-style steak was delicious).

A plush modern hotel with superb design features and warm colour scheme. Very large and comfortable room. I enjoyed a complimentary glass of procesco which was very welcoming. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I consider $35 each morning excessive for breakfast. I opted for room service on a couple of occasions which was excellent - good in room breakfast and 24/7 menu. The pool bar for lunch was good as too was the rooftop bar. Whilst I found the food offered in the restaurant was of high quality I feel the menu was very limited for choice. A little disappointed that the other restaurant was closed as I think another dining option is needed. The gardens surrounding the hotel were attractive with a gate leading down to a very nice beach area complete with a good beach bar for lunch and drinks. A very interesting day trip was organised by the hotel which was delightful. I enjoyed my stay in idyllic surroundings.

Newly refurbished hotel. Still some building works going on but this wasn't a problem. Staff were helpful but many obviously new to the service industry with a bit to learn still. The gym was very good and we used this every day. Very clean everywhere. Very good breakfast choices but the hot food was consistently cold, not helped by no warmed plates. Would I return - yes.

Check in wasn’t the smoothest and one of the staff snapped at me when I followed up on a possible room upgrade. I did share feedback with the hotel and they promptly apologised. Appreciate it’s a fairly new hotel but that put me off adding breakfast to my booking for the duration of my stay and spa day as I’d intended. The hotel itself is beautiful and the majority of staff were accommodating. A shame that the first encounter put a damper on things especially with it being a birthday trip and first time in Algarve. On a positive note the hotel shared that feedback has been shared with the team to improve guest services so that’s positive.

Lovely newly renovated hotel new to the Kimpton brand (was in a bit of soft launch phase wating for peak season). Very friendly staff eager to help. Large well decorated rooms and bathrooms. Lovely pools and large grounds annd gardens which are immaculate. Few minutes walk to an amazing picturesque beach with restaurant (although wasn’t yet open too early in the season). Can do small treks to nearby beaches. Would recommend a car if staying for more than a couple of days as there isn’t much nearby.

The pool area and outside is gorgeous and perfect to chill in with three pools and a variety of sun loungers, athough it can get busy. Having said that the pool staff are so good, patient and fairly quick even when it is busy. However, I think sometimes other areas like reception were not always as efficient and sometimes took a really long time to answer calls. breakfast was nice but if you are vegetarian and don't eat eggs, I found hot options very limited. It is easy to make these and make them tasty, with not too much effort. For example, make scrambled tofu instead of eggs or even have some has browns or avocado on toast. We were limited in this respect. Overall a lovely hotel but not quite 5 stars.

The property was brand new when I visited - with trendy interiors, lovely rooms and near the sea. However, it felt like the hotel was running itself, I've never seen anything like that. The breakfast was packed withstaff wondering around not knowing what they were doing, we would schedule a fitness class and the instructors wouldn't show up, no one had a clue if yoga should be booked or not...it's just a never ending list. We were even lied that the instructor was ill (after no one bothered informing us that the class is not happening) and although we were promised they would schedule a class for the next day and call us, that never happened. The conciarge was lovely and tried helping but she can't run the whole hotel in addition to her regular job. Pools were lively but the number of sunbeds and sun umbrellas were way too low for the number of guests (all the sunbeds would be taken before 10am), I even saw people getting into a physical flight about them - staff didn't react even then, although I asked them to intervene. All in all, a lovely property but completely mismanaged which would probably prevent me from coming back as I don't need all this stress on holiday.
