"The Rocksino in Deadwood, South Dakota is hands-down one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at before. The staff was phenomenal and very friendly. We were even upgraded to a two bedroom suite that was very nicely decorated and spacious. The hotel was completely renovated but still had the historic vibe and feel from the original building. "Excellent location, but noisy. Street noise, noisy garbage trucks and delivery trucks most mornings around 6:00 am. Rooms A/C wasn’t working so they had a portable A/C that worked but was taking up a bit of room. A sewer smell from the tub drain. Most mornings they ran out of food and or coffee.
Staff was good and great location for day and night life."
"The morning breakfast needs to be better. There was a waffle maker, auto pancake maker and toast & juice and a couple cereal choices.
It definitely needs some fruit choices, scrambled or hard boiled eggs would be nice. Maybe some type of donuts or pastry. Otherwise, satisfied with the hotel."
