"Laundry room with irons etc was convenient. The staff were accommodating and pleasant. There was access to extra coffee tea from the guest kitchen to replenish our kitchen in the garden suite. There were no teaspoons (just 2 large spoons) & not much sugar or coffee in the suite so had to go on a scavenger hunt to the guest kitchen upstairs. If we were missing something we could usually find it in the guest kitchen. The large common area was right above our bedroom area &, being an old building, noise, in the form of excessive thumping & banging was loud in our room feom upstairs - not a major problem until people were up there after 10 pm when we were trying to sleep &/or simply relax. The bedroom configuration didnt allow for any (even tiny) nightstand but instead there were awkward gaps between the bed and the built in closets beside it where items could fall down but we couldn't set anything down in that area. We were told there'd be plenty of Residential parking on that side of the road but for 2 of the 4 nights we couldnt find any & had to park & walk from other streets (even then, spots were hard to find). Im not sure that parking rules are enforced & not sure how they could be."

"Greeted by friendly and proficient front desk staff. Early check in was accommodated. Room was well presented and functioning air conditioning/heat thermostat. The lobby bar and restaurant are worthy of a visit and with a wide selection of beverages and menu tastes. Note that the restaurant is seperate and unable to charge dining to your room. "

"This was a vacation for four sisters, and we felt like we were treated like royalty. The staff opened the door for our exit and entry each time, greeted us with a, "Welcome back" to the hotel and just genuinely kind people. The foyer offered warm apple and spiced tea, fresh apples and was decorated with stunning arrangements. The room was outstanding, clean and a great view of the legislature with a nice reading nook at the window. We loved the spacious bathroom, lovely toiletries, kicking hairdryer, royal turn down service with chocolates, and location. The adjacent spa was a treat. The only disappointment was that the fitness room was not available due to renovation, so that would have been nice to know, but look forward to using it next trip:) and will have to treat ourselves to the Courtney room michelin level restaurant."

"Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was good and linens were nice. It had a kettle and coffee maker, microwave and good sized bar fridge. Suited our needs perfectly. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, muffins, eggs, bacon. Our favourite was the waffle machines. Easy peasy and delicious. Reno’s were happening but didn’t affect the quality of our stay. Parking was a bit tight but we managed in a Ford F150. Seeing the deer on the lawn in the morning was a highlight. "
