"During my stay@ Takayama Green hotel, I had forgotten to take my handbag with me when I stepped out of their executive club room. My handbag contained my son's and my passports & wallet. To my relief, the hotel front desk contacted me immediately when their staff found my handbag. Everything in my handbag was left untouched. "

"What a treat. We were wanting to stay up near the ropeway but that was closed for repairs and the spots near there were full. I bumped into this spot on line and it felt like a secret treasure. Loved the Onsen baths. Dipped into every single one on property including my own private one in my room. We both slept great in the traditional beds on the floor. "This was a wonderful experience. We were asked to check in between 2pm-5pm. We were glad to have made it around 3. From the entrance outside, the lobby, and the rooms it was a beautiful ryokan. The staff was very helpful, accommodating, and really made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The dinner and breakfast is all seasonal vegetables and meat and it is very filling. "This Ryokan was amazing! It was doable on the trains though it i out of the way of major cities but that is the point. Very relaxing and the osen was amazing. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a traditional experience. Also the food was fantastic!! "

"This is a wonderful place to spend a few days. The ryokan is very authentically Japanese. The staff was helpful wherever we needed them. The food Is good, though our best meals were in restaurants in Takayama. Most of all, the hot springs are AWESOME. The water is so thick with minerals, so rich. We didn’t want to leave."

"Wonderful experience! A stately & historical large ryokan nested on the eastern hill slope of Gero town. My second stay at this ryokan & will continue to stay there next time I am in Gero. Very good vista of the town in the morning or evening. Very large garden & landscape, with tall tress & seasonal flower trees.or bushes.. a beautiful & varied feast for the eyes & senses if one come at different seasons... Has its own hotel museum to showcase it's checkered history & early artifacts, etc....

"Came here with my husband and mother. A little sad that there was no view surrounding this ryokan. Unlike the ones I stayed in while I was in Hakone and Sapporo. This inn is small and has limited facilities (but it is enough.) Room was spacious and the futon was very comfortable to sleep in, staffs helped prepare the futons for us to rest efficiently. Both breakfast and dinner were good but a tad overpriced for what I was getting (beef portion was really little). The hot spring water was not as...
