"Good price, but a bit dated. Transportation options not ideal. Breakfast was excellent, but the room's shower head holder broke. I wasn't told that the hotel would be locked by 10 pm. Luckily I had a key. A phone number was at the door, but for international travelers without a phone, this is a big problem."

"This is the best hotel for the money that I have experienced in Heidelberg. The front-desk staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. The convenient Frankfurt Airport bus operated by Lufthansa stops at the Hilton, a 10-minute walk away. Rooms are bright and recently renovated. Access to Hauptstadt, Altstadt and local transportation center at Bismarckplatz are nearby."

I texted a family member at the hotel and the clerk called a taxi to pick me up at car rental and drop me off at hotel. That meant a lot! There was a number to call as you need a code to get in the building when reception isn't open which is only between 1 and 9 pm. They told me that they normally send a code and instructions via text but Expedia didn't send them my phone number.
