Two Star Hotels in Ko Lanta
Ko Lanta is located in the emerald waters of the Andaman Sea in the south of Krabi province. The island is the main tourist island and is approximately 30km long and sixkm wide with eleven sweeping white sand beaches along the west coast, set against a backdrop of rubber trees, mountains and jungle.
Visitors seeking two-star accommodation will not be disappointed as Ko Lanta has plenty on offer. The majority of facilities and services are on the west coast of Ko Lanta based on or near the five main beaches on this side. The busiest areas are Ban Saladan (the main town), the Klong Dao and Long Beach areas, further south it gets quieter and more secluded.
The east coast is a complete contrast to the west. Very little development has occurred here so there is only a handful of accommodation options, mainly guesthouses. This is probably due to the fact that there are no beaches, just mangrove and muddy waterfronts.
Two-star accommodation in Ko Lanta varies greatly, but it is of a reasonable standard. Accommodation in this category tends to be basic but some hotels and resorts do offer a wide range of amenities; free Wi-fi can be found in a number of establishments, free toiletries and free bottled water daily are just some services that are offered to guests.
Ban Saladan has an array of two-star choices and is the busiest location on the island. It is probably not the spot to choose for those looking for a relaxing beach holiday but it does have some wonderful restaurants and shops. Klong Dao and Long Beach also have a number of two-star hotels and resorts.
There really is something for everyone in Ko Lanta, from couples and families to the wildest party-goer, the island offers a wide range of activities, night life and accommodation and thus draws a unique mix of visitors every year.
