"Buyer beware. When I booked, the property was listed as being close to Yosemite. When it came time to navigate from the park, our drive would have been over five hours! I called them to cancel and their response was, “well you can cancel, but you’re not getting a refund.” We were there at the end of April in beautiful weather so I didn’t expect any road closures. If you are going to book here, be sure to check maps first."

"The Virginia Creek Settlement has great staff and beautiful surroundings, nestled next to a creek, its a cute/quiet property. On top of that, the restaurant has delicious meals. If you need a nice place to stop on Highway 395, I'd recommend this little gem."

This was my first time staying overnight in Yosemite Valley and the convenience of Curry Village is an outstanding perk for day hikes and shuttle access. They provide blankets, but I strongly recommend keeping an eye on the overnight lows and bringing a sleeping bag if you're in one of the unheated tent cabins."
