"What a lovely gem of a place which was so welcoming and provided simply the best breakfast you could wish for. What with their own chicken eggs, sausages and fresh home baked bread, you can't go wrong! Janet is a lovely lady who likes to make you feel very welcome. I will be re visiting for sure"

"If you are looking for an elegant, historic, clean yet simple stay then this is the hotel for you in Winchester. The old building is beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and also very helpful. This was the first time we were travelling with our 4 month old baby and the staff were very accommodating (all staff were but the name Lynn is the one I remember) and helped us store our pram safely without havingto carry it up the stairs several times per day. Breakfast is ordered on arrival or in the evening. The cooked breakfast was delicious, extremely well cooked and served by attentive and friendly staff. "Hotel is nice and close to the town, and very clean. Parking was easy and ample. Everyone that works there are really friendly. The room was just the right size (with the usual amenities) with a decent ensuite bathroom. A good selection of breakfast items - the English breakfast is lovely."
