"The rooms were fresh, clean and the best AC I’ve ever had at a hotel. The new pool area was also very nice. Restaurant was not open, but is re-opening soon and looks very nice. Will definitely be back!"

"We chose this hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and unfortunately the experience was not what we hoped for. We booked a partial ocean‑view room, but the room we were given had no resemblance to that description. When we approached the front desk — twice — to request the room type we paid for, we were met with smirky, unprofessional and unhelpful responses which felt incredibly disrespectful. On the second day, reservations representative contacted us, but the room she offered as a “solution” had double beds, which made no sense for an anniversary stay. We took photos and videos to document the discrepancy. Another couple traveling with us booked the exact same room category and received a lovely partial ocean view, which only highlighted how poorly our situation was handled. This experience fell far below expectations, and certainly not what we hoped for during such a special milestone."

"The Reef Beach Resort is located on the quiet east end of the island. The beach is nice, but the water for the first 100’ is a bit murky. The pools are nice and could use some updating. The rooms are nice and clean. Now the best part- The staff here is amazing! The food is some of the best we have had in the Caribbean and we have traveled extensively throughout many of the islands and different resorts. So if you want a peaceful place with amazing staff and great food- this is the place. I suggest getting the all inclusive package as food here is expensive."

"We would definitely go back! Room was spacious and oceanfront view was amazing. They set your lounger up with towels and an umbrella on the beach or poolside looking at the ocean. Microwaves are not in room but you can get one at no charge. Staff is very friendly! Breakfast buffet was good, lots to pick from but food could have been warmer. They also offer fun 4:00 and sometimes 7:00 snacks, Each day was different. S’mores was my favorite, ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn and sno cones. Live music inside was nice in the evening."

"The Shangri La is an absolute gem of a B&B. We selected it because we were looking for a quiet place far from the large hotels . What we actually found was a welcoming home, not just a functional accommodation. The facilities are great (hammock, pool, hot tub, beach towels etc). The rooms are very clean and comfortable, yet also private. The fully equipped kitchen is accessible at all hours, and breakfast on the deck is in a very peaceful setting. All these are important considerations in a relaxing place to stay . But what made the Shangri La truly memorable is the folks who run it. We have rarely had stays where we felt so genuinely welcome. Rose, who manages the operation, is especially accommodating. Our flight arrival was well before check in time, and we stopped by just in case our room was ready. It wasn’t, but we waited in the comfortable lounge and they made up the room very quickly. We would have been fine to just leave our bags and return later, but this way we were able to settle in and unpack. Throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Rose, and we recommend the Shangri La very highly."
