"I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up. Breakfast was a bag with croissant and porridge to mix yourself and an apple. Jam, butter orange juice also provided but juice not very nice and make your own coffee from Nescafé in room. Being British and living in an old home here in the UK I understand how hot upper level rooms can get in the extreme heat and was expecting the temperature to be excessive. The actual temperature was beyond extreme and the fan provided did not oscillate and was extremely noisy. "Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. "When you hear the expression you get what you pay for this was this hotel! Nothing drastically wrong with it but it’s dated. Bathroom was very dated. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows lovely though. "Full cooked breakfast was available, parking was available with plenty of space. The room could have been cleaned better, especially around the window but the rest of the room and the bathroom were fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. I understand the property had new owners so they were probably still getting to know the property."
