"I had a Comfort Room for my one night stay. The room is small-ish but perfectly adequate for one or two people for a few nights. There is some hanging space, and worktops/bedside tables, and good lighting. Heating was excellent and is controlled through your phone using a QR code link.The bathroom has bath and shower and a nicely illuminated mirror. Food, both dinner and breakfast were very good too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good stay, and a hotel I would certainly use again."

Keld Green House

"We stayed at Keld Green House while visiting the Krankenhaus music festival at Muncaster Castle, which was only around a 15-minute drive away, making it a really convenient base for the festival. We arrived quite late, but check-in was smooth and straightforward, with no need to see any staff in person. We parked in the small car park in the courtyard, which was very convenient. Our room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. We appreciated the tea, coffee and biscuits, and made use of the TV, which has all the main streaming apps installed. You do need to sign into your own accounts, but this was quick and easy. The ensuite was small but clean, with some lovely little complimentary toiletries. The shower was warm and powerful – particularly welcome after a day spent getting muddy at the festival! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet, both from outside and within the building. We slept really well with the window open. The property is also very close to the beach, although unfortunately we didn't have time to visit during our stay. One thing worth knowing if you're planning a weekend stay is that breakfast isn't available on site at weekends, and some of the local cafés aren't open on Sundays. We therefore had to drive a little further afield for breakfast, this wasn't a major issue for us, but it might be for others. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would happily stay at Keld Green House again."

"Very good value. Good food, comfy bed etc. Only slight negative is that parking is up the road in the parish council car park, which needs RingGo, so an extra few quid. Otherwise highly recommended."

"We stayed here with the family to climb/walk up Scafell Pike. The property was sparkling clean and the hosts had thought of everything - they even left new dog toys in the welcome basket! Seascale was a short drive away and the beach there was stunning which I wasn’t expecting as I hadn’t done enough research out with climbing SP! Would definitely stay again if back in this part of the Lake District."
