"We had an incredible stay here. The pools were beautiful and well kept. Food was good, of course pricier than local options but still fairly priced and fresh. The landscaping and grounds and boardwalk were a dream though. Amazing work they have done here. It has to be decades of tending and pruning. The property manager was able to help us with our tour plans as well. We found cave tubing and ziplining through her connection to be cheaper than booking online."

"I loved this place and wished I could stay longer. My room had a tilapia roof and it felt like a cozy nest. Lots of hot water in the shower! Staff all amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful. Tried restaurant twice. Food, service , ambience wonderful. Convenient walk to town and stores, bank, etc. Last but not least the resident cat Luna made me feel right at home."

"The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. "

Solar powered and sustainable, it’s clear that the management values the environment it is in. "We had a great stay at the West House overall. Good location if you want to be able to walk around San Ignacio (probably the nicest hotel in that area). The reason for the mixed review is that we had something “go missing” from our room during our stay. It wasn’t something that we would ever bring out of the room with us and the worst part is that it was inside one of our bags when we left the room, meaning someone either went through the bag and took it or it fell out during the room cleaning...

"In the US, a bed and breakfast always means breakfast is included and we didn't notice that breakfast was for a fee.. it didn't bother us at all but just so everybody will know I thought I'd mention it ... The breakfast you could get was not at all expensive and it was delivered right to your room.... The one staff member we met was extremely nice and extremely helpful... Kudos to him, he was great."

"Jaguar Creek was an absolute gem!!! Not only is the location spectacular, but the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location was so beautiful and relaxing. Onsite there so many beautiful plants and a couple of hiking trails that are recommended to really explore the area. The food is delicious and the menu changes daily. The cabana was clean and neat and I just couldn’t get enough of the location. Mostly, the nights were quiet but you do hear the howler monkeys from time but it just...
