Hotel was nice! Close to the river, convenient place. The service was great. However, the room was not good. Although we asked for non- smoking the room smelled like cigarettes. Also, it seemed the room was recently u der constructions and there were some things out of place. Tv was not working at first and it was replaced.
The property really has a "jungle vibe" which is nice. The build quality of the property can be higher, but one should not forget you're in the jungle. For example, during one heavy rainstorm water seeped in beneath my patio door. Reception immediately sent someone to mop it up, however -no big deal.

it was close to river and in town, an inexpensive place to stay, a bit run down and in need or up keep.
This property was right next to the river. From our balcony, we had a view of the river through all of the greenery. I loved all of the trees and plants throughout the property, made for beautiful scenery.
This was a very basic hotel. Clean and had AC. Wish it had a safe.
Awesome! Great place to stay, staff was amazing, picked us up at the airport, my room was super big with an amazing view. The restaurant in the hotel had great food and so convenient with amazing staff. Will definitely stay there again.

The lodge in a great and safe location, however there is not a lot to see or do in Puerto Maldonado. The accommodation is clean and relatively basic with very helpful staff. They supply a free taxi from the airport.
Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room had paint peeling off the wall in places and no curtains on the windows facing east, so our first morning the sub woke us at 6 am. We did request curtains on those windows and it was done the same day. The air conditioner worked very well. I did not use the pool because the water did not look clean and there was no filter system, also didn’t think the water was chlorinated.

Overpriced for what you get
The room was ok, even if “river view” meant a tiny peek of river through the trees. But the rest was pretty poor. The pool area is a bit tacky, with uncomfortable deck chairs and plastic tables. The breakfast was terrible, covered in flies. And it cost us more than most of the hotels we’ve stayed in in Peru.
It was a nice hotel. It has a cool little mini amazon jungle inside of the hotel. The only thing that left a bad impression was the restaurant onsite. We asked for a particular appetizer, and the server was like, "oh we don't have that." so then we ordered a ceviche and it never came. When we asked her what happened to the ceviche because other people were getting served before us even though they came after us - she said, "oh the chef is really busy. He can't make it. " Umm. . was she ever going to tell us?
The breakfast the next morning was better but we had to ask for a lot of stuff. . .butter and jelly for the bread, milk for the coffee. . .it was a bit off as though they were new to the restaurant business.
We were met at the airport by a friendly shuttle driver who took us immediately to the hotel. The hotel staff was as friendly and helpful as could be. The room rate is very reasonable. Just be aware there is no elevator so if climbing stairs is a problem you should request a ground floor room, but you should definitely book this hotel.

Good choice in Puerta Maldonada
We had a nice room with a great view of the river, pool and trees. Saw the slolths that live in the trees at the hotel which was just awesome. Did a tour ,arranged through the hotel, of Lake Sandoval with a guide named Raoul, this was absolutely outstanding.10/10. He managed to tick every box you can have on this tour. Ask for him! The hotel is a little like staying in a tree house. Our room (600) had a lot of windows but also had a lot of cracks under the door and everywhere else. Also had some strange sewer smells sometimes. Clean sheets, lots of hot water, nice pool, air conditioning was a blessing, great view, clean enough, a little noisey at times, some good food at the restaurant. And actually probably the best place to stay in Puerta Maldonada!
After being in the jungle for 5 days we were so excited to stay at the Eco Lodge and end our honeymoon trip in a very relaxed way. The lodge was very accomodating, the staff was friendly, and there are even resident sloths! It was the perfect way to finish our trip!
An amazing place to stay and be in touch with nature. The tour guides are knowledgeable and fun. The staff here are lovely. This isn't a five star resort for those who like perfect luxury. For nature lovers, however, this place will be a little piece of heaven for you.

Three toed sloth righ outside our door!
We arrived after two nights at a primative Eco lodge in the jungle. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat and travel. Adjoining restaurant was very good. We arrived back to our room after a walk around town to be greeted by a sloth with her baby. Very cool experience.
We booked for 2 nights in late May. The price was right (cheap) and had a pool. The rate included airport pick-up.
We got a room in the building (not cabin) but with AC. Good sized room with 2 beds and fridge but no safe. The bathroom was modern and included a nice rainfall shower with lots of hot water.
Two big sliding doors which showed off the nature outside, lead to the balcony with chairs.
There was a decent sitting area overlooking river and pool area (the pool/pool area could use some updates). The complex is in the trees at the river’s edge. We saw a sloth with a baby when we checked in.
The on-site restaurant has a cheap daily menu, 12 soles for chicken or beef meal with salad and chips. The service was painfully slow (to get initial service and after the main). We got fed up of waiting for the dessert that we left.
Breakfast was 7-9am only but included eggs made to order and a buffet with bread, fruit, meat. It was refreshed right up until the end.
The staff are friendly and booked tours for us (Cayman search and canopy walk).
The wifi is decent but only works in check-in area, restaurant and pool. It worked poorly and intermittently in our room.
Some reviews mention the loud music on weekends from the many clubs close by. We could hear it when outside but it wasn’t too loud when in the room.
We booked late checkout until 5pm which was 1/3 of room cost.
Overall a good stay and would recommend to others.

Not bad, but I would recommend splurging and staying at one of the better lodges down river.
