The facts. Check in quick and easy. Rooms spacious. Two queen beds. Bathroom clean. TV not really useful. All rooms close walk to all facilities. Food very good and plentiful. Amazing fresh fruit - papaya, pineapple, mango etc. Two formal dining options - Japanese and Italian. Some items excellent some hot or miss. Those dining rooms never seemed full. Have to book ahead. Gym has three exercise bikes, only one with digital read out, others manual adjust resistance. Several stair climbers. Could be better air conditioned. Opens at 7am. Pool large and never over crowded. If you place a towel early enough you will get a lounge chair at pool or beach. Snack bar open all day but food a bit old - hot dogs, burgers, pizza, nachos, fries. Beach access easy and close. Large amounts of volcanic rock impede swimming in some areas. High tide limits swims due to waves and currents. But lower tide offers lots of access. Staff all friendly and helpful. Bit of a chore to get to Tamarindo town or beach. Can walk but 20 minutes in hear. Taxi is $US8. Or bus once per hour. If you want vast open beach for miles stay closer to Tamarindo. Check out quick and seamless. Airport transfer 90-120 minutes arranged thru Victor $US100 for six of us one way.
