A great place to stay! It's very accessible to trains and buses. It's also near the market and walking distance to Chang Kai-shek memorial Hall. There are shops and convenience stores nearby.

Noisy room, no sound isolation (from inside the hotel, not street noise). Carpet was disgusting. Chair in room was broken, as was the key holder on the wall, brown stains on counter. Staff was friendly but the hotel needs work.

There are a lot of businesses around the hotel, for example, the food market, subway, 7-eleven, concert hall and parks. I even found a ping pong club. Also, the wall in the hotel are thin. The staff always tried to help.

Convenient Location, Reasonable Price

The hotel is reasonably priced and extremely convenient to the Dongmen MRT station, just a minute walk. Rooms are comfortable, big tv, good hot shower, kettle and amenities you can take for yourself in the lobby. Very practical place to stay when in Taipei.

The half-finished repairs in the room were off-putting initially, but the room was comfortable, had a good shower, and was in a very convenient location. Overall quite happy and would stay again.

Great area very close to rapid transit. They provided bottled water. Only thing is the mini fridge in our suite couldn't keep our drinks cold enough so it might be an issue if you visit in the summer.

The property is located in a good area. Close to the MRT which made it so easy to explore Taipei. It is also in an area close to restaurants/cafes and a market. The staff was very friendly and was always there to help when needed. The room looked exactly like the pictures. There is an amenities self serve which was really neat and everything was always fully stocked. You’ll never run out of bottled water! - or anything really. Haha. Would def stay in this Check Inn Express again!
