"Purbeck hotel was a last minute decision and one I was very happy to have made. I stayed in the lodge, great sized rooms. Staff were lovely and helpful, made me feel at home. Location was great for the town and the Swanage railway, the reason why I was in town. I did not have breakfast as was out early so cannot comment on that side. If I was looking for a negative point then my tv didn’t work (I wasn’t in the room much anyway) and the shower/bath could be better (showerhead needs improvement...

"Just back from a 2 night stay over the bank Holiday in superior sea view room. Views were simply outstanding. Room was large and recently refurbished with a good shower and a big bed. Lots of power sockets. Fresh clean blackout curtains. We walked down the beach to the Cabin for Pimms and snacks. Cabin is also owned by the hotel. "Fantastic location in a beautiful setting. Excellent staff and service. Hotel buildings are tired and in definite need of a revamp which we understand is on the cards. Look forward to returning in a few years when the hotel has been relaunched"
