"Location was great, you have to make a short drive to get to the beach but not bad, and the pool is right in front of the room. At night people were listening to music and it did not disturb the room, perfectly quiet. Bed was clean, no sign of bugs. Overall though, the room needed to be cleaner. Microwave insides were dirty, refridgerator had layers of broken ice that had built up. We were given 2 towels for a 4 day stay, the floor towel was threadbare and see though in several spots. "The Mansion is an incredible experience and historically significant property, having survived the 1900 hurricane in Galveston. The property has been lovingly preserved and the staff were exceptional. On arrival we were met by Aaron who took great care and time to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The Kona Hawaiian coffee is sublime and breakfast was a great conclusion to our stay. Highly recommended."

"The staff was very rude. They only put one towel per room when we had two kids with us. I booked two rooms and only got two towels one of the main reason we got this hotel was because they had a swimming pool so the kids could join the hot weather but the three days that we stay there the pool was closed the whole weekend. I was very disappointed it was not worth my money. We’ll never stay there again."

"NOT worth $350 a night! No housekeeping unless you ask for it, no coffee maker in the tiny room, hard metal chairs on the balcony, long waits at the elevator, ice machine not working on our floor, bar tender couldn’t even make a mojito. This motel is literally a two in one building. Home2suites and Tru. All using the same lobby, pool, and parking lot -$20 a night 2 nights cost me $800 after parking and taxes!!!"

"The property was great. I loved all of the amenities my children enjoy the complementary breakfast. My older child would have liked a deeper and larger pool, but my younger nine-year-old enjoyed playing in the pool. Our room had a great view of the pleasure Pierre and beach. The staff was excellent very helpful very kind and courteous. I enjoyed my stay and I am looking forward to coming back and booking again at the same location."

"The check in process was smooth & our host, Shannon, was there to greet us. It’s a terrific property that made for a very peaceful & comfortable respite. The property is extremely well maintained and managed & highly recommended. Near the Strand and close to the beach. Loved it!"

"This hotel was FILTHY. Every inch. From downstairs bathroom to the hallway on second floor it had not been vacuumed in a long time. This was not one day got skipped, this was a GROSS hotel. We got there at 230 with a 3pm check in and she says we can’t check in early they are booked. We sit in the lobby and wait because we have nothing else to do, a group of men walk In and she checks them in and they go to their room. I walk back to the desk and suddenly we can be checked in. Weird. But...

"Loved the cleanliness of the hotel… the quick access, the pool and the things it had to offer although we wished they’d be more upfront about the cost and dreams and passes and what they include, it was a bit confusing… and I thought there would be a free continental breakfast or something similar given the cost of everything else so that was definitely offsetting but the stay ourself was nice."
