"Generally clean room but we did find a dog biscuit under the sink while we were there……and we didn’t have one with us. It was during a heat wave and had to sleep with the window open even though a fan was provided, this made it a little noisy at times. Good breakfast and all staff were friendly and in the main, helpful. Only received a “that’s not my job, see the bar staff” once on one of the evenings."

"Enjoyed my stay at the Menai hotel, my room was a good size and clean and comfortable too. The hotel breakfast was very good also. The hotel's location is in Upper Bangor and is not far from the railway station and near bus routes and not far from the town centre either. The limited interaction I had with hotel staff I can say that they were pleasant and helpful. Overall, definitely no complaints."

"Cottage was gorgeous inside. Really great layout and lovely decoration. Great bifold doors, bathroom, beds very comfortable. Slight issue as parking is NOT included- have contacted Expedia/ Sykes cottages and the owner to get this changed. In the end we found we bought a couple hours at 8am and were out by 10 and not back til after 8pm so it was about £1.70 each day by PayByPhone. We had a brilliant stay in Anglesey and can’t wait to return-this was a brilliant base."

"In the first room 87 I think we had something underneath the carpet beside the bed. I did report it. I didn’t like having to take my bags through the streets to the room but could’ve easily been done by the people there. I didn’t realise that you had to go 100 yards down the road to go to the room. I would not have stayed that was three flights stairs up no lift second room number 77 same thing have to takeoff stuff out. Take it back to the Hotel and start all over again. "A characterful, charming hotel in the centre of Beaumaris. In cooler months it would be lovely to use the sitting room to read and relax. "The property was clean and the room had nice sea views. The rooms are in a converted house next to the Indian restaurant at the site. They are as mentioned in the description accessed via stairs .. quite a few although was offered help with bags. The main negative factor is the location. We arrived and witnessed an altercation on the street in the mid-afternoon with a women punched in the face. The police attended. We looked for other food options but only fish and chips available nearby....
