Stay was okay
We just spent a night in this hotel. Room given to us good size room with small double size bed. Tea cups were not provided in the room, though a cattle and tea/coffee and microwave was provided.

Liked: Cleanliness
Good value, no frills, 10 minutes walk from bus and train stations. Very clean.
Not really a hotel. A phone number to call for a room key. Rooms upstairs above a bar. No reception or breakfast areas. Just a room and fend for yourself. Feels like a boarding house. Staff at the bar and lady who passed the key over were friendly and polite. Pet friendly. Bed very lumpy. Good for a trucker or worker staying the night. Otherwise choosing another hotel with better facilities and safer outlook with staff on hand to help guests would be advised.

Great for a work Stop
The location was easy to find, and you're supposed to call a number on a sign for assistance. The number wasn't working, but I got the right one from someone at the bar. A friendly lady greeted me and offered to help with my bags. The room was a good size with a clean bed and bathroom. Toiletries aren't provided, but I always take my own, so for anyone who doesn't, please do. My only issue was the carpets weren't very clean, but thankfully I had slippers. After your stay, you just drop your key in a black box on the first floor. If there are any problems, you call the number provided, but fortunately, I didn't need it. Overall, I'd definitely stay again – had a pleasant sleep after a busy day at work.
Staff were nice, however the room was dirty. It had not been cleaned. there was sock fluff in the lower bed and a pair of glasses down the side of the bed. Our room was out onto a flat roof and the sash windows were open as it was hot. We put our things in and had to go straight to a funeral. When we came back a man was standing on the roof outside our windows smoking. This happened several times! Also there is a bar below, which states it closes at midnight. So we didnt think this was a problem, especially as it said the room was sound proofed. We was not told that it was going on till 3.30am and it would sound like we was trying to sleep on the dance floor!

Although the outside looks run down, the refurb in the rooms is nice.
Once outside is freshened up, a few hanging baskets, tidy up etc, it will look more inviting. Just need a few tweaks. We were in room 7, twin room. Needs a bedside cabinet between the beds . Maybe a dressing table and mirror, for when you're getting ready. Shelf in bathroom would be handy.
Bathroom needed cleaning around the floor edge. Bedroom could have done with a hoover.
Bed soooo comfy.
The lady greeted us and got our room ready early for us.
Pub garden is fabulous. We ate at the pub. Best wrap i ve ever had.
Will definitely stay again.
Thankyou
A very pleasant stay in a relaxed property that needs some work done on the exterior. Rooms are clean and comfortable and bathrooms are excellent. Staff were first rate- friendly and helpful.
Lovely accommodation convenient location to the Brook.
Friendly staff.
Comfortable and clean rooms.
Shower slightly on the hot side for a perfect shower.
Very satisfied
The check in lady was nice once I could reach her. I had to ask a guest in the garden restaurant to call the number for me so we could check in and then again to get the wifi code. The room was above a pub that played loud music until well after midnight. The door knob on the bathroom was broken and a family member got locked in there until we found the broken piece of the knob to open the door.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The bedroom was not nice and the pub was not nice at all. The pub very dull and not nice.
No one in the front desk all the time, no service at all. Actually it’s a bar with 3-4 guest rooms. Even we ask for help to call a taxi, the guy at the front desk ( we only see him at the check in time) didn’t show up any more even we check out.
Easy to find, reception very friendly, the room was spotlessly clean, lovely shower.
The room was very hot but with 2 lovely big sash windows that you could open wide it soon cooled down.
