A delightful place to stay with lovely staff. It was peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. The view of the piton from the path going up the hill at the back of the hotel was just stunning. I loved sitting at the bar trying the delicious cocktails and the food in the restaurant was great too. I felt really well looked after. Thank you to the hotel team.

Lovely! Unique stay; our only shower was outdoors but we enjoyed it. Great view from hike on property! Enjoyed the pools. The chocolate tour was fun.

Staying here was a dream. We stayed in a cottage, up in the hills, set all the way back in the rainforest. It was quiet, romantic, and tranquil. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful throughout the entire trip. Our cab and shuttle drivers were amazing and informed us of the history of St. Lucia as we drove. The resort offers a free shuttle to Sugar Beach, which has a section of chairs you can pay for or a section for free (first come basis). The dining options at Fond Doux were delicious, fresh, and used local ingredients. We really enjoyed the cuisine. The pools on the property were great. One of them has an outdoor area with a wall of books. Another, newer pool, has tables and a beautiful view of the rainforest. Overall, we were so happy with our experience and would absolutely come back to stay in the future.

Loved our stay

Really lovely little place in a beautiful lush setting. Comfy & quiet rooms with aircon and a wonderful buffet breakfast with a good variety of hot & cold food, fresh fruit and cakes. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, good price (cheaper than in town) and delicious food. The staff was really friendly. We used the free shuttle to beautiful Sugary beach and walked to Tet Paul - a lovely walk with a beautiful view. Having a car would be a plus to get to the mud bath, volcano, waterfalls, Soufrier and beach. They are all about a 15-20 min drive away. We used taxis but they are a bit expensive on the island.

We had a lovely time at the resort, the property is absolutely beautiful, very green and serene with beautiful flowers and all kinds different plants and fruit trees, with the name of the fruits. 4 pools were all different and very relaxing. The staff was amazing and everyone made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate us at the restaurant. We did encounter some issues with our 2 bedroom villa, Avocado house. We were told that the WiFi was down before booking, however, there were more issues with this villa. We had no way to call reception because phone was down, our microwave didn’t work, so we were unable to heat food. And worse of all, we had lots of bees in the master bathroom, over 12 bees, which startled us and caused a delay in getting ready. Not sure how they entered the villa, I must assume that there is a hole somewhere in the villa. I took a video and pics and showed it to reception but was simply told sorry, with no attempt to contact the manager or offer a reduction in our final bill, considering all the issues we had with the villa. That was disappointing.

The hotel premises are amazing, you're basically staying in a botanical garden. Everyone gets their own cottage which is a very nice touch, it does feel isolated if you're staying by yourself. This is not a 4 star hotel as far as the rooms are concerned, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Could be amazing with more attention to detail and service.

Fond Doux is a BEAUTIFUL property. It is in the middle of all of the tourist attractions in the Sourfriere area. It has a unique feel that emamanates from the cottages that have been preserved on the property and the restaurant that serves fresh food grown right on the plantation. The property is clean, quiet, and unique. The staff are freindly and very helpful. I cannot recommend this place more!

The pro's. Liked the breakfast, fruit trees, service and staff. It was also clean. Con's. There is a lot of steps heading to the cottage. I didn't mind them, however I aasnt aaare that I had to climb so many.

Beautiful rustic property set in wonderful vegetation. Felt very secluded but would have been useful to have a car, otherwise very expensive to get anywhere. Shuttle to sugar beach was a nice touch. The chocolate tour at the hotel was great, all be it a tad expensive. Dinner service at the hotel was slow but this was rectified on our 2nd night. No children’s menu available but the kids had a great time in the little pools & watching the chickens. The staff at reception could not have been more friendly & helpful. With a few small tweaks this place will be magical!

Last minute decision!

Our flight out of Saint Lucia was cancelled by American Airlines last minute. I found Fond Doux and was so happy that we did. Everyone was welcoming and very friendly. We ended up staying two nights while waiting for a flight back home to Miami. We toiled in after the restaurant was closed and the chef was nice enough to make us egg sandwiches and a fruit plate delivered to our cottage. The property is in a beautiful location, very lush and jungle feel. The place itself could use some TLC and a good renovation. We used the free shuttle to Sugar Beach the next day and had a good time there.

Hello My Name is Airaka Dumas. Recently did a Solo trip here in Saint Lucia for my birthday and was able to stay at the wonderful Fond Doux Eco Resort! The staff was incredible! We are like family now! Took very good care of me. They made getting transportation easy around the island! The hotel restaurant is great and affordable as well. So if don’t desire to eat anywhere else, it’s okay they have everything you need. Also they have a list of things to do at the resort or excursions away from the resort. They can help you set up, anything you need, so don’t worry about what you will do. I give Fond Doux Eco Resort 10 out of 10! I’m going to miss you all, but I will be back very soon. -Airaka

We had the best time walking the grounds of this property! Lots of beautiful plants and fruit trees! The staff was so nice too! I loved hanging out in our cottages pool, eating breakfast and watching the lizards and birds and Sugar beach (daily shuttle) was a magical spot right in between the big and little pitons. I would stay here again! Just some notes... A few things different than the pictures on here. No hammocks on the patios and the cottage was not as private as the images had me believe. We were in a cottage with a pool and AC. Ours overlooked the pool area which luckily was not heavily used. Overall the property was beautiful but a bit older than the images on here. Plan for bugs! I was glad that I had packed bugspray because man were there mosquitoes! We did go during rainy season so Im not sure if its better at other times of the year. Also, in order to see the piton it required a 30 to 45 min hike. You cant see it just looking up from the property. We did the hike 2 times and it was well worth it! Make sure to ask someone before you go! There are two paths and unknowingly we picked the harder one the first time we hiked it. Big boulders and steep steps made for some laughter and slightly sore legs the next day! 😅

This place is magical! Owners proudly look after it putting their hearts into it. Staff is so warm, dedicated and helpful, especially Elizabeth, Leandra, Dianne, Shontea and many others. The most lavish free breakfast and delicious food available for lunch and dinner, transport available to take you anywhere you like.. overall could not recommend this natural paradise more❤️
