We enjoyed our stay, and in general the hotel is good. We chose it because it said there were electric car chargers. When we got there I asked and I never really had the question answered apart from ‘our car park is full’. Just a bit annoyed as we chose it over another hotel purely for this reason.

The hotel itself was lovely, staff helpful, I haven’t been to this building since I was a child, when it was formerly the hq for the police in the city (had family who worked there) A nice few nods to this around the building. Although staff didn’t know much about what used to be where in the building, more out of personal interest that we asked. Facilities were great and breakfast lovely. Clean room and comfy beds. Ongoing roadworks around the area make entering and exiting the car park a little tricky at times, and pathways outside the building close at short notice. All out of the hotels control.

A brilliant hotel. Lovely breakfast - just hot food could be improved with mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and hash browns needed! Check out lady was rude to us and the couple behind, but otherwise all other staff were helpful, happy and lovely! Would recommend!

Great stay
Stay was very enjoyable, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Only issue was fire alarm sounding at 3am (false alarm) no fault of the hotel but annoying.

Not bad for the price, great breakfast.
Room wasn’t bad for the price - the floor in the bathroom definitely needed some work though as it looked like the joists had lost their integrity and the floor was spongy and unstable to walk on. Grouting was also peeling off. The sofa bed was uncomfortable but the queen bed was fine. I guess, again, to be expected for the price. Breakfast was great! Lots of options, accommodating for dietary requirements, even had a fresh waffle maker! Nicky was great, very friendly and accommodating to us as a family. We arrived at 4pm and checked out just after 10am and had to pay £30 for parking! Crazy. That would likely put me off staying again.

Pleasurable stay
Always a pleasurable stay! Paul made us feel even more welcomed than normal. He made what had been a stressful trip well worth it.

An excellent hotel with very nice, chatty, friendly staff. The breakfast was also very good. We will definitely stay again.
