"I’ve stayed at the Seaway Inn off and on for more than 30 years. It’s a beautiful, updated smaller property that is near the Santa Cruz Pier and Boardwalk. It’s had different owners over the years and has been updated. The beds, and pillows are very comfortable. The rooms are spacious, and very quiet. You don’t really hear the street noise but can hear the waves from the ocean. Our king room offered a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating....

"The location was perfect! Easy and convenient access and walking to downtown, the beach, wharf and Boardwalk! The pillows were very flat and the mattresses were hard! The amenities in the hotel could be upgraded, along with the furniture. Some of the chairs and desks are old and run down. "Right across from the Beach Boardwalk 🌴🌞🌴 My 2nd floor room had a small balcony and a sweet partial ocean view and view of the Wharf!! Probably the nicest two-star hotel I've stayed at. Parking was tight but doable. They have a small underground parking lot and then much more parking on the 2nd level which had a separate entrance. Staff was super friendly and check in was quick. They even let me check in a few hours early cuz my room was ready and I got there early. I noticed a few...

"While the location is great and the price is right, we chose this hotel because of the reviews that showed high ratings by couples. There was nothing about the property or our room that were romantic or couples related. The room didn't even have a blow dryer so we had to go to the office with wet hair to ask for one. It's just super basic and not super clean. If you don't plan on spending much time in the room and don't like to hang out at the property, it's probably fine."
