An older style motel with fewer rooms than chain /motels. . Well kept up. Within a reasonable drive to events in Saratoga (our destination) as well as Glen Falls.
The owners of McGregor Inn Motel make this place a winner for a low cost room during the "peak" horse racing season. Convenient to the race track and restaurants. Donuts, cereal, coffee and tea available in the mornings. Accommodations are basic: 2 double beds, microwave, small refrigerator with freezer, TV and WIFI. Grounds in front have picnic tables where one can enjoy the lovely weather while reading the racing form or a book!
Simple place for simple tastes. Owners were super nice.

Slightly above average.
With all the bookings in Saratoga Springs and Lake George, this motel being a small familly owned motel is not bad. Owners friendly, etc. but small and no amenities.
Nice Motel, very clean and owners are very friendly. Room was freshly painted and had new carpets. My only thought is I didn't see any air conditioner in the room at this time, glad we didn't need one. Would stay again for sure.
This was the perfect motel for my wife and I. Simple, yet super clean and meticulously kept up in the middle of up state New York history and vacation stops. Ticonderoga, Saratoga and Bennington for Revolutionary War history, gorgeous scenery and a great way to have a laid back vacation if you avoid the crowded spots. the motel also has picnic tables for a picnic lunch and great flower gardens to enhance your stay.
Our stay was very good, both Anna and I thought that we made an excellent choice. Anna found her bed somewhat soft(the one by the frig.), other than that she was pleased. Travelling to Dance Flurry was no big deal, yet we should have left earlier on Saturday morning because parking was difficult. So, thanks and Anna said that she would certainly consider staying with you again.
Nice hotel on the northern tip of Saratoga Springs
Nice staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The location is great, just north of the city of Saratoga Springs, on Route 9. The wifi is quick, and there's a refrigerator and microwave also. And, the bathroom is very clean and functional. I am a huge fan of motels that you can park in front of and have their own door to their rooms too.
The room was clean enough and the place was quiet. It was probably in its prime 40 or 50 years ago. The door only had a twist lock on it; no chain or deadbolt. We were only there for one night, and didn't go to the bar across the street. The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant.
Our room was very clean. The inclusion of a refrigerator and microwave oven was a pleasant surprise. These accomodations are neither luxurious nor spacious, but they certainly met our needs. The room was VERY clean.
I was a little skeptical when I first pulled up to the motel. It's small, with only 10 rooms. The office is located in the owner's home and you have to ring a door bell to get service. The man and woman running the place were very nice. The woman recommended places to eat and chatted it up with us. The room was small, but sufficient. There was one thing that my expensive hotels in Providence and Boston didn't have that the McGreggor did have. That was a fridge with a separate freezer and a microwave. Both were pretty new. The TV was circa 1997. With only 10 rooms, it probably would be a good investment of maybe $3000 - $3500 to put new TV's in the room. The other furniture was out dated by the beds were comfortable and clean. There was a little rust in the bathroom on the heater but nothing terrible. The bathroom and shower are small, but again, this is a small motel.

Economy accommodations at a reasonable price
This place is what it is - a motel very reasonably priced (for the area). Clean, decent beds and a fridge and micro (room very small). Owners were very pleasant also. If you can afford go somewhere else but if not don't hesitate to go here if you just want a clean room to sleep for the night.
It was everything you could ask for. Ownership was friendly. Quiet, never heard any neighbors. Bathroom could've used a towel hook. Really grateful to have a fridge and freezer.
A no-frills motel offering convenience and reasonable accommodations for a good value. If you are looking for a place to stay without amenities, and close-in to town, this motel fits the bill.
