"Hesitant to post a review because I want to gate keep this gem. Hotel costs in Santa Barbara range from pricey to mind blowing but this spot is a rare affordable and beautiful stay. The lagoon is magical- highly recommend a lagoon view room. Ducks wander, turtles sun bathe, gorgeous coy fish enjoy a feeding and a very wise night heron keeps watch over it all. The breakfast is basic but great for an early bite. Staff is incredibly kind and the room, although small was perfect for the two of us. Centrally located for our day trips to Santa Ynez, State street and Goleta. Looking forward to coming back with the entire family. Oh…almost forgot, fresh cookies offered daily around 4. This place truly lives up to its “award winning” title. "
