Hi Janice, as we mentioned to you repeatedly, we apologize for the hiccups you encountered during your arrival to the country. Sadly, neither of those issues gives you a right to berate staff and the property and still expect a full refund for not wanting to stay for your entire reservation. The water taxi terminal did not accept your water taxi voucher for some reason, so you were reimbursed for your original purchase, and you did not have a double charge for this. Therefore, that issue was resolved. You opted to take a random taxi you found instead of waiting for the one scheduled for you. The state of a public taxi vehicle you selected on your own is not the resort's responsibility nor something you can expect us to remedy on your behalf. The door you repeatedly claimed was damaged was not, and staff showed you how to lock the door as well; there was security on site from 6PM - 6AM, with whom you also interacted. Upon arrival, you and your party were rude and overheard, claiming you would depart from the property the next day before you were even shown to your room. Whatever the reason was for your desire to depart, neither of the reasons mentioned in this review, as well as the claim that you were not given room service, despite your hefty restaurant tab for our BBQ night, that the televisions could not work, despite video evidence to the contrary and that staff were rude to you despite the fact you were the one witnessed slamming desks and sticking your phone in staff's faces to intimidate them; none of these are reasons for you to expect a full reimbursement during the island's busiest season. We thank you for choosing Sapphire Beach. However, we wish you had given the property more than 12 hours before departing and then claiming the property was at fault for your lack of due diligence.

Hello Iryna,We thank you for your review but feel the need to point out inaccuracies in your statements:1 - You booked a ground-floor poolside unit and received an upper-level unit with a partial sea view. Your VIP upgrade was honoured as you also took advantage of the free breakfast provided to you. 2 - The balcony you are referring to is the one that can only be accessed from inside the unit and, as such, had an indoor lock and did not need a key. As mentioned, the inside balcony was located on an upper floor. 3 - You were relocated from this perfectly habitable room to another of similar calibre within an hour, which was also as close to the beach as the room category allows. This is false regarding the allegation of a stain on the bed, as even after we asked you to show the supposed stains you are claiming, you could not present them to our staff. 4 - Door keys do not work for any unit's door; you requested additional sheets from housekeeping, which were provided to you despite being unable to provide proof of any stains. 5 - One pool was closed for one day for proper cleaning. All pools are cleaned daily,

We're so sorry that you had such a negative experience while in Belize, which resulted from unprecedented storms and rainfall just before your arrival and throughout your stay. Unfortunately, due to these heavy rains, the roads to town were very muddy and, as a result, impassable in certain sections. That said, we worked with the local authorities to resolve this matter as quickly as possible and ensure the roads were repaired as soon as the weather made it safe to do so. While this external and uncontrollable factor was very unfortunate and we can certainly understand the impact it had on your trip, we do wish you would have taken the time to consider your experience on the property when tailoring this review as we received continuous feedback from you that your time was enjoyable on-site as there were no issues with your room or any of the amenities on site.

Being in the Tropics it's difficult to say which card the weather will play. In addition, we have a huge project coming up with getting those buildings up to par.
