First time at the Orchid House and absolutely loved it. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Fabiola and Luis were amazing. Fabiola is a great chef and is so genuinely kind and the fact that she is also a great cook is an absolute plus. Loved her chilaquiles and banana bread. Luis was also very kind and helpful. Will totally come back

The room was spotless, absolutely so comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and most notably, Juan and Roberto were amazing hosts, with great recommendations and service. So kind and gracious! Will absolutely stay again!

We loved orchid house immediately for its old world charm . The staff was exceptional particularly Juan and Fabriola . The location is great. We loved meeting the other guests, and we felt very much at home for the week we stayed there.

This place is magical! Only six rooms and a total staff of seven make this hotel intimate and personal. Beautifully remodeled old building two blocks from the main square. The decor is amazing and there are peaceful courtyards and gardens in which to relax. The two on-site managers, Juan and Carlos, are exceedingly helpful and friendly. The best part, however, is the breakfast chef, Fabriola. Be sure to order one of her fabulous breakfasts from the menu, a five-star experience at a bargain price!

Staff amazing always ready to assist and truly all were willing to do whatever. The place has few rooms which make it very intimate and appealing and safe . Left my window open all the time (at night too) for lovely fresh air and felt totally safe doing so. Has a/c unit but between window and ceiling fan temperature was perfect. Lovely courtyard as you enter with fountain, beautiful tree for shade and chirping birds. Lovely area to sit, visit, read etc. Also where breakfast is served between 8-11 am daily. Continental was included and other more extensive menu items offered at very reasonable price. Fresh water in your room for drinking etc , neopresso coffee small fridge if needed. They close the big front door around midday to give us privacy in courtyard however you have a code and there is usually someone there to open door. It is on a relatively busy pedestrian (mostly )and cars to center. Very close to center squares gardens etc. The noise level was minimal due to seclusion . Beautiful location area is considered a Unesco area so well preserved. Beautiful buildings etc without big signs trying to get your attention. Great walkability but has cobble streets to preserve the ambiance so wear comfortable good shoes. Their plenty to do : hot springs clean and well done, nature preserve, cathedrals, museum great food and best part friendly kind people. You do not get treated as a tourist but one of them in best way possible truly a great visit. Will be back soon!!

This hotel is amazing. It has an old World feel but with all of the accommodations of a brand new hotel, the place is beautiful. The people are amazing. I am definitely going to stay here again. Next time I’m in San Miguel..

Gorgeous property

This was a beautiful property with courtyards, gardens, and patios. The shared kitchen was amazing. The location was perfect for us, walkable to many attractions in the Zona Centro. The breakfast was delicious, cooked for us each morning by Fabiola.

The Orchid House is a beautiful hotel and the staff are all excellent! Iwe had a lovely three days there and just had a small issue with the shower water pressure. It was minor issue though. Would highly recommend and Faviola makes a great breakfast. The grounds are beautiful too. Loved it there.

The room was spotless and cleaned every day. We stayed here six nights. It is a large house converted into a hotel with 5 or 6 rooms. We did have one problem when the hot water heater died. It was replaced the next day. We were offered a suite instead but actually liked our standard room. Breakfast consisted of coffee, huevos (fried or scrambled), fresh fruit, yogurt and granola. It was fine although we ended up eating breakfast out because there were so many fine cafes. The location was close to the Jardin and lots of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately on the weekend there are nearby clubs with somewhat loud music that bothered us the first night. Would we stay there again? This was my first trip to SMA and I definitely liked the area we stayed in. However, if I were to return I probably would not in this area because the location, while central, seemed rather touristy and less like a neighborhood.

The property is lovely. We had the double , beds were comfortable and overall room was nice. The air conditioner in room does not cool. We visited in May and very hot. There is quite a bit of street noise, they provide ear plugs however didnt help . The staff was very attentive and breakfast was good. Would stay again in cooler months.

I like the convenience to the Parroquia and other places. It might be too quiet at times, but if that's what you need and like then this is the place. Kudos to Fabiola the awesome lady that cooks in the morning she is so sweet! The lady that cleans your room is very nice and the gentleman that cleans the grounds on the property. There is 1 thing I didn't appreciate from Roberto the guy at the front desk is the lack of empathy and transparency when I asked for prices on transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to airport. He only gave me price for 1 way and that brought problems with transportation people. Thank goodness the owner of transportation was so nice and we came to an agreement. Roberto needs to be more professional handling a situation that he didn't took ownership on his side.
