"Lovely hotel large comfy rooms ,pillows nice and bouncy tea ,coffee and biscuits in the room nice products in the bathroom , very clean hotel only cold buffet breakfast due to a gass cooker problem but directed to the george for a cooked breakfast which was perfect would definitly book again."

"This is an ancient, historic hotel. Be mindful of the fact that you are staying here more for the character and historical significance then for the comfort. Stairways are small and steep and parking - went available at all - is challenging. That said, however, the staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our one night stay."

"We had room 17- a review of this room last September was awful. If accurate it has now been improved as it was comfortable and we had no issues with it. All staff were very good - friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent. Ample parking at front of property . Grassy area at back alongside the river with sitting area was very nice. Position of hotel is great with a short walk straight into Rye which is a lovely town with many places to eat - lovely old pubs and interesting buildings. Lamb...
