VERY convenient walkable location to city center. Property might be a little older but it’s well kept and clean. They have a sauna and staff is friendly. Had a great stay!

I had a very pleasant stay all around! It was the best budget I could find in Dec, and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was very warm and welcoming! The location was great in the downtown area and very walkable to many restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!

Rooms are old, there is a stink coming from the shower drain, not terrible but noticeable. Staff nice and helpfu. The best thing about the hotel is the location, right at the town center

We had a fantastic family winter vacation. The location of Scandic Polar is good in Rovaniemi. The breakfast was good at Scandic Polar.

The hotel is in a great location, especially for those wanting to visit the Santa Claus Village. Being so central you have a choice of several dining options and convenience shops. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and always friendly and accommodating. Where the hotel was not so great, it is very dated inside, especially the rooms. The lobby is large but in need of renovation, along with the dining area. The breakfast was also not great, limited choice and an acquired taste at best! Thankfully we only need a room to sleep and rest, and spent the majority of the time seeing the wonderful city of Rovaniemi. All in all a ok hotel in a prefect spot, but let down by its facilities and food. Based on the above we cannot recommend the hotel, as there are several others in the same vicinity for roughly the same price.

We just stayed 1 night so we weren't looking for a spectacular hotel. However, for the cost we expected more than what we got. The location and complimentary breakfast options were very good. The staff could have been a bit more friendly and the hotel definitely needs an upgrade. Especially in the rooms like the beds and showers.

Definitely a modern room with a phone in the room so we don’t have to go down to the reception every time we need something would be highly appreciated. A kettle in the room with few tea bags would be a nice touch

Not worth the price at all. The property is old and needs a serious revamp. Despite being in arctic circle with such cold weather, the least we were expecting is a water heating kettle in the room which was absent. The rooms allocated were on 3rd floor in a section of the hotel where the elevator goes only until 2nd floor. Had to bring huge suitcases up the stairs.

Good service but poor hardware.

The staff were friendly and the room was spacious. However there are a lot of rooms that are not accessible by lift, and very often tourists had to carry their luggage’s up and down the long staircases, which is very often not easy to do. So be careful when selecting this hotel - if you’re travelling with wheelchairs or heavy luggages, maybe another hotel would be better. If not, Scandic Polar is perfect.
