Super cosy and Excellent location for hiking walking trail nearby .very nice hotel in the middle of forest highly recommended for family holiday absolutely amazing hotel and staff!
Best choice made for a magical holiday, hotel was amazing, the scenery and views were incredible and the facilities and food were to a high standard, I will definitely return!
Had a wonderful time so well played out in the panoramic restaurant, rooms where beautiful saunas in the room amazing and the beds are the comfiest we have ever slept in
We had a wonderful time there. Everything feels like a dream. Nice location on a hill to give a resort feel while also being close to the city centre. Great restaurant and food. The room with sauna is amazing. All staff are friendly and helpful.
Efficient check-in, warming fire in reception area, spacious room with view of woods. In room sauna for warming up after cold day. Fantastic location amongst pine trees. Great breakfast, enjoyed dinner at hotel restaurant. Easy location for pick up and drop off for tours. Would suggest more options for bar snack / food menu.
The hotel is located in a beautfiul and silent part of Rovaniemi. The highlight is the view from the terrace. The room was a little bit to warm beacuse of the sun but it has an air conditioner. The breakfest buffet was yummy.
Loved the location in the forest of a ski resort in summer. The roof terrace view is panoramic revealing all the fells around Rovaniemi. The nature trails surrounding the hotel are wonderful. The food was excellent. The sauna in our room was outstanding along with the view from the room over the local forest. Would do it again one day though it is a long way from Australia. At the end of fourteen self driving around Finnmark and Sapmi it was an excellent choice on our journey back to Kirkenes. We loved northern Finland.
The staff made a worthwhile and enjoyable stay.
Stay was amazing. We loved the Sauna in the room. The breakfast was good. The trails around the hotel are very nice and must do. Only one complaint - No elevator to go up to room on the 2nd floor (1st floor actually) where the rooms with Sauna are located. So lugging your luggage up is difficult. Would request the management to install an elevator at the earliest.
Great property with the most friendly staff. Breakfast was fantastic beating the breakfast I’ve had in Italy. Great coffee, fresh juice/smoothie and honeycomb for my fresh yogurt. Property is on the ski slop with ski in and ski out. Only downside is restaurant is closed for lunch, the cafe had a few snack options but no other food restaurants near by and there is no elevator. A small handicap/luggage elevator would do wonders. Probably my best stay on my 3 week trip to Europe.
The hotel was situated on top of the hill, and we really loved the landscape around the hotel. A lot of trees and a lot of snow with few people. But there were no nearby bus stops, so transportation was quite inconvenient. Taxi to the city centre for 6 people was 46Euros. But since we expected this when we booked this hotel, we have booked tour with hotel pick up most of the time, so it was not that big of a problem for us.
Staff were friendly, food at the restaurant was good.
Room was small but comfortable and clean. Good to have a private sauna in the room, we enjoyed that :)
It was right next to a ski resort, so good for people who like to ski as well.
This hotel was set in an out of way area in Rovaniemi. It was worth it to be surrounded by a lovely forest. The rooms each has a personal sauna which was the reason we chose the hotel. (The saunas in room for 2.) We were there to see the Northern Lights. The hotel has a viewing area on the roof. We only saw them one night due to snow but at this hotel, it was a wonderful vantage point. The hotel restaurant was wonderful, with breakfast included. The one challenge is that the hotel does not have an elevator. We took heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. Frankly I would do it again. The hotel was great.
We loved our stay here! The rooms with the sauna were stunning and it really was a great introduction to Finland. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was so delicious we looked forward to it everyday. The waiting staff were polite but I think I would’ve appreciated if they were a little more friendlier. But not a big deal. The only complaint I would have is the parking, we didn’t have any issues finding a space but it did get busy quite frequently, and nobody parked properly so some markers may help for future. Unfortunately we got sick (unrelated to our stay) so we didn’t get to participate in a lot of activities but did notice some mountain bikes resting on the side of the hotel, and often wondered if these were for guest use. A little more information on these would’ve been nice at check in. Overall, we loved our stay here and would recommend it to everyone!
The Hotel itself is super cute. With that real Finnish vibe. Stylish, elegant, quaint. Room clean, my view was amazing. Beautifully located. So Picturesque!! I wanted to love it so much! But here are the fails. The staff need some serious customer service training. No smiles were seen, and certainly not a “How was your stay?”
It’s a busy time of year, but I was taken by surprise at how many families with young children. Definite vibe Killer! There’s no lift at this property, and no one to help with bags so be prepared.
Breakfast was chaos trying to find an available clean table. Maybe I will give this property the opportunity to redeem itself, because had it not been for a very ordinary (less than ordinary) experience. I probably would have loved the place.
