Silver Sands is a fixture in Rockaway Beach. All rooms have ocean view, which is endless, with Twin Rocks in the distance. We have stayed here several times, and the setting can’t be beat! My husband’s only comment was that the TV is too small!

We arrived and the front desk person was very friendly and helpful. She suggested the restaurant next door for dinner which was really good. When we got to our room, the door was wide open and there were dirty dishes in the sink, a couple of bugs in the room (flies and other bigger flying bugs, due to the door being open) and a dozen empty water bottles on the counter. We let the front desk know, and she offered to have it cleaned, or move us rooms, which was great. The location was amazing, we spent a nice morning on the beach.

The kitchenette room at the Silver Sands Motel we stayed in was clean and well-stocked. Two picture windows- one that overlooked the ocean and one that overlooked the mountains. The views left us little time to look at the amenities :) There are also nice shops and restaurants near by, which were fun to explore. we took the Oregon Scenic train ride. you can also see the train just by stepping outside the room. We loved it and hope to be back.

Lovely view and excellent beach access. We went into our stay with those being our priorities and we were not disappointed. The property itself is very run down and the room was not clean. There was trash left under the bed, toothpaste on the faucet and a layer of dust on everything. All that said, we would stay there again because of the location. Just set your standards low.

It was exactly what I wanted. I was able to open the windows and breath in the fresh air and watch the waves crashing into the shore. It was quiet comfortable and affordable. Just what I wanted for a relaxing night at the beach.

Honestly, we were delightfully surprised about silver sands motel. It was half the price as most of the other places around this area, so we were not anticipating much. And granted, it was no Marriott but it was clean, well maintained and my kids LOVED the direct access to the beach. It was great. We also appreciated the affordability of this location on the Oregon coast.

Silver Sands was a nice motel right on the beach. We picked this motel specifically for the proximity to the beach and it did not disappoint!! We slept with the windows open and enjoyed the sound of the sea all night.

Overall, Silver Sands was fine. The good - You cannot beat the beach location and view! You look onto the beach. It is right there. Give a star for that. The kitchen was nice to have - minimally stocked, but enough for 4. We cooked a couple of dinners. It was nice to be able to close the door to a bedroom as well. The bad - It’s dated and could use a thorough cleaning. Extra blankets would’ve been nice. The blackout curtains are tired. The no smoking rule is loosely followed. People were smoking cigarettes and pot often. The bed was well used. The ugly - The ceiling fan had a half inch of dust and I don't want to know what on it. The couch was stained. The bedroom door had 2 areas that looked like it was punched or forced open. Our stay was fine. I’m not sure if I would choose this place again.

This motel is next to the beach so that's the big plus and it's also close to restaurants and stores. Everything else is substandard. It is old, run down, and has uncomfortable mattresses. Our shower dripped the whole time.

Kelly at the front desk was efficient, accommodating, and kind. My room was exactly what I had requested and needed. There are not many amenities, but I had what I wanted for this trip to the beach which was a quite retreat with a great view and easy beach access. This old quaint hotel exceeded those expectations.

The view was amazing! Hotel was very worn and needs a major renovation. Bathroom door wouldn’t close or lock. Room had clean beds and they slept well. Outside of building needs a deep cleaning. It worked for our one night stay.
